About Us
Our story - The Origin of Polarbee
Polarbee takes its name from the Arctic bumblebee, Bombus polaris — a remarkable species that survives in one of the most unforgiving climates on Earth.
In the high Arctic, warmth is a luxury. To endure long winters and short, unpredictable summers, Bombus polaris builds intricately insulated nests beneath moss and tundra soil. These nests retain heat, protect larvae, and create a micro-climate stable enough for new life to grow — even when the world outside remains frozen.

Learning about this resilience sparked a deeper question for us: if a tiny pollinator must go to such extraordinary lengths simply to survive a changing climate, what responsibility do we bear as organisations, as leaders, and as a global community?
The Arctic bee’s determination — its ability to adapt, protect its environment, and support the ecosystems that depend on it — became a powerful metaphor for the work we believe in.
At Polarbee, we strive to help organisations not only respond to environmental challenges, but to become catalysts for regeneration. Like the bee, we recognise that small, deliberate actions can sustain entire systems — for people, our planet, and all of nature.
